It’s hard to hit the Like Button on this self-directed tragedy.

But truly appreciate your description of the mess.

Which goes a long way in explaining the manic drive to destroy Russia. Nothing like a war to take the citizen's minds off of the government scams, lies, and broken promiseshe as a cause of their financial plight. Both Minsk agreements broken in each and very part, with Germany and England in the lead, and substantial help from the U.S. And the German-led EU has dreams of taking over a defeated Russia to strip its riches. Just another form of colonialism?

Germanys problems are not the seemingly low 65% of GDP debt. There are so called Special Funds set up for various subjects reaching back to the early 1990´s when the whole economy of East Germany was more or less bankrolled and piled up the first 190 Billion of debt outside the official budget (Then Deutsche Mark). There are lots more (Covid/Rebuilding Military/"Renewable Energys") scams alike.

The true debt is much higher than 65% GDP and even this measure is as much cooked as it is in the US or France or UK. The state quota of that GDP is over 50 %. This is non productive. So on no level Germany has a solid financial bedrock.

What I also pointed out is the fact that recent disclosures reveiled the fact that NATO has signed secret agreements with member states that entitle them to rule into the major political topics forcing the government to invest and spent along these demands. From Healthcare to Logistics to Crisis Management, Infrastructure, Media Control, Surveillance and much more.

Especially Germany is a Vasal state to the US/UK/France and still, 80 years after the end of WW II under the siege of the Enemy State Clause of UN Charter, Paragraph 107 and has never achieved a peace agreement. So the technical state between the Winners of WW II and Germany is still a cease fire.

As I pointed out to Bill G it´s also about the Scam with TARGET 2. Which allows Southern Europe (mainly) to import hard assets and sent "we owe you´s" to the Central Bank which hands it over to the Deutsche Bundesbank. Who then books claims into it´s balance, never expecting to see the payment itself.

John, your great analysis begs the following question, if you factor in the EU CB Debt guarantees what does the proforma debt to GDP ratio look like for Germany? I’m assuming it’s quite high, which begs the second question at what rates will Germany have to borrow to build the military machine they anticipate creating?

Another example of this was the Greek bailout, in which the bailout money went immediately to the German and French banks that were holding enormous amounts of Greek debt. It wasn't so much a bailout of Greece as a bailout of the EU banking system -- protection of the vendor financing scheme.

In fact, around 5 % of the "rescue money" went truely to Greece and its people.

The Euro is another boondoggle-brainchild of the corrupt Deep State and Bankers to deliberately attempt to destroy the US Dollar.

Excellent and succinct report by John Rubino!

Disagree. The invention of the € had one major background. And that was the eradication of the far too strong Deutsche Mark. Too strong for all neighbours.

The admittance of the € was the price Germany had to pay for the reunification of East and West Germany. Without it Mitterand and Thatcher would have never agreed and enforced that deal along with the US administration (James Baker/George H.W. Bush)

In order to govern and prevent AFD ( 25% of Germans ) from having any say whatsoever in what goes on , the ” coalition “ had to make peace with the far left AND the greens . Basically ,every party EXCEPT AFD . If you think the greens and far left will allow Germany to industrialize or worse yet “ militarize “ you haven’t been following the German Green Party . These are the people that cement themselves to the pavement to stop cars from polluting . Truly unhinged .

The sheer incompetence and lack of wisdom of the current and recent German politicians is truly staggering, even worse than here in the UK perhaps. Of course the US blowing up Nordstream has been a large part of this but here we are decommissioning nuclear power stations and using coal again! I never saw this coming to be frank and am shocked at how Germany appears to have lost the plot. I voted Brexit and would do so again. The EU as can be observed is not a beacon of democracy and grows ever darker in how it seeks to control people and of course is near bankrupt. So Lagarde wants to introduce a CBDC to as she has said 'to control people'. Then the EU wants to use retail savings to invest in EU projects!! Really! Will people get their money back or when they want it. The persecution of right wing parties is also disgusting and so obvious. In other words only the EU and Brussels have the right view and truth. We could add Hungary being charged 1 million euros a day as a fine because they do not want they country ruined by often criminal immigrants and very low skill along with an alien culture. I think Hungary is wise looking at the state of the UK and what mass immigration is doing to us. No, the EU is finished and we need to have the last rites. However, I am anti the EU 100% but not Europe. As Europeans we need each other and can work very well together without free movement, a Brussels out of control with 'their' agenda and costs. Many of us never signed up to an EU that wants a superstate. Keir Starmer and his Cabinet are the most incompetent Government I can recall and lack wisdom and common sense. I have never known a PM so loathed and frankly hated than him but he does not get it. Labour are a disaster and most see this but then at this time so are the opposition. Time to kill the EU and have a new way of being together.

This raises a few questions:

Is Russia running into the same depletion problems as Norway and Shale?

Was the Nord Stream pipeline ‘sabotage’ faked for the purpose of covering up the depletion of Russian gas production? As we are aware, governments prefer to lie rather than tell the barnyard animals that we are fucked. See New Zealand.

Similarly, is the Ukraine War fake? It serves the dual purpose of explaining away the inability to supply the European market and it provides and an excuse for relentless energy inflation in Europe.

We have been told that Ukraine has halted Russian gas exports to it’s crucial benefactor - Europe, yet Europe continues to send billions of dollars in aid and weapons to Ukraine. Duh. None of this is logical. Unless of course, Russia does not have enough gas to be able to supply Europe and it is best not to let the barnyard animals know that we are fucked.

This is one of the most insane tricks to confuse the EU (27 states) with "Europa", There are 26 other Nations and yes Europe is worth trying to balance the relationships and improve them.

Yes but “ never interrupt the enemy while they are self destructing “ .

I don’t think any action is called for ..the EU is eating itself from within and will soon be irrelevant on the world stage . The pendulum is swinging toward Nationalism.

Ray, if Germany is self-destructing, how can they be in a state or frame of mind to love their country (nationalism)? Seems like they are moving more toward fascistic-apathy or Kafkaesque-ism?
