The reason why the ECB / pundits are pressing for a "Joint debt issuance" is to make sure NOone escapes the euro implosion.

? Do the USA states, f.ex Texas underwrite the debts of..Califonria..?...hope not..

Doing business in Europe for many years, the one head scratcher the seems obvious to me is the whole purpose of the creation of the Euro in the first place. It was to mask the insolvency of individual European states, whilst creating a Petri dish of socialist experiments the elites could implement.

When countries default, and the ALWAYS do, it clears bad debt and inefficient policies / sclerotic businesses / malinvestments. When a socialist web is knitted about the market, it allows the cancer of poor decisions to hide.

Once that screen of obfuscation is blown to pieces, the cancer and cockroaches are easy to see and can be dealt with accordingly.

I've been looking forward to the collapse of the EU and Euro for more than 40 years in my career. Italy for example, is a nice place and very beautiful but it simply has to face its socialism, idiotic immigration policy, profligate government spending and corruption.

Blowing apart the tinsel of legitimacy the EU and ECB has, will reveal extraordinary resilience of the people to do better. To take control of their own destiny and accept the blessings with equal attachment to their failures.

The wars on-going today are simply a continuation of what began in 1914. The UK was already in decline and the US on the rise in 1900, Germany was drawing closer to Russia since the 1870s, it was building railroads and had manufacturing plants in Russia. My maternal grandparents worked for Briansk Machine Building Plant which dated back to 1873. The British knew that German engineering and organization meant the death knell for the empire. Research the Russian revolution and it's roots. It was a regime change operation, no different than what took place in Maidan Square with Victoria Nuland leading the coup. The destruction of Nordstream II was another attack meant to divide and conquer. The famous phrase in 1958 by the first NATO secretary general Ismay sums it up: "Keep the Americans in, the Germans down and the Russians out".

Around 1914 there were some 200 currencies ww with at least some significance (aka convertibility)

100 years later there were left three of them.

The fate of the € will equal the 197, just the struggle's length is unknown.

The fuse was lit when the US greenlit the destruction of Germany's natural gas supply.

Man the list is getting pretty long:

1. CIA led coup in Ukraine in 2014. Result: 600,000 dead, country a wasteland.

2. CIA remake of ME with Israel in control. Result: Slaughter of 20,000 to 30,000 Palestinian

women and children. US provided air cover to ensure the genocide proceeded without

interuption.

3. Known rapist set to take charge in January. Should be an interesting 4 years.

Question: who doesn't want to join BRIC's?

So you take exception to the least significant item on the list. Let me phrase #3 another way: I'd be afraid to leave my oldest, dirtiest pair of sneakers on the front porch overnight out of fear "your boy" would try to hunker down and screw both of them. Is that a little better for you??? I agree rape is hard to prove when you have money.

Germans are some of the most intelligent and productive people on Earth. Germany is the most visited country in Europe. Germany is clean, efficient, friendly, and fun.

The Anglo Alliance fears a German-Russian economic union. It would be a juggernaut.

So, like humans do, if you can't compete with them, destroy them.

Your claim in the first sentence was true until Angela Merkel allowed the country to be overrun with UNintelligent and NONproductive immigrants from sh!thole countries around the world. It is no longer “clean, efficient, friendly, and fun.”

Randy, Yes, the Angela Merkel and others allowing immigrants to overrun Germany is one more attack from the Anglo Alliance against the German-Russian economic alliance. Stop the welfare for the migrants. Buy them plane tickets home (an offer they can't refuse) and Germany can go back to the way it was. Also, refire up the nuclear power plants. Many of Germany's problems are self-inflicted just like in the USA.

And these are conditions existing before the inflationary global secular financial collapse which is likely imminent, IMHO. Having driven nominal short rates to zero central banks are now out of rope. Their decades long "avoid hangovers, stay drunk" foolishness has run its course.

As a US common sense investor, I agree this current trend will strengthen the bankrupt US Treasury USD which suppresses Global Liquidity triggering a Euro Dollar US denominated leveraged debt Macro FX crisis?

Milkshake Theory = Failing Fiat Currency restructuring will create a Black Swan event because the US Treasury "risk free" securities will no longer be "risk free" due to Liquidity & UST Default risk?

Outrage as Elon Musk claims ‘only AfD can save Germany’

German health minister calls US billionaire’s intervention weeks before election ‘undignified and problematic’

Kate Connolly in Berlin

Fri 20 Dec 2024

Elon Musk has caused outrage in Berlin after appearing to endorse the far-right, anti-immigrant Alternative für Deutschland.

Musk, who has been named by Donald Trump to co-lead a commission aimed at reducing the size of the US federal government, wrote on his social media platform X: “Only the AfD can save Germany.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The old Sieg Heil! Coming to a country near you:

In 2017, ten AfD Bundestag members were found to have participated in a closed Facebook group named "the Patriots" in which, among other things, antisemitic, racist, pro-Nazi and conspiratorial posts were widespread. One meme posted therein, which showed Holocaust victim Anne Frank's face edited on a pizza box labelled "The Oven-fresh", gained particular media attention. While some AfD officials stated that they had been unknowingly added to the Facebook group without consent and that they had now left it, Bundestag member Stephan Protschka remained, saying "I am a member of this group because I also see myself as a patriot."

According to a 2019 report by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, statements by leading AfD representatives such as Alexander Gauland and Björn Höcke, who exonerate Holocaust perpetrators and discredit the reappraisal of the Nazi era as "anti-German", create a "connectivity" to right-wing extremist historical revisionism and could "ultimately lead to denial of war guilt and the Holocaust".

In 2023, Felix Klein, the Federal Government Commissioner for Jewish Life in Germany and the Fight against antisemitism, stated that leading forces within the AfD relativize the Holocaust and that the party condones antisemitism.

Josef Schuster, President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, stated in 2024 that he is "concerned that the AfD would deliberately act against Jewish life, if it fits into their concept", and that the party offers antisemites a home.

A study commissioned by the American Jewish Committee in 2021 came to the conclusion that antisemitism belongs to the "programmatic core" of the AfD. According to the study, the party conducts "targeted campaigns" against Jewish celebrities. The study's author, Professor Lars Renmann, stated that "despite some lip service to the contrary, hostility towards Israel, Holocaust relativization, antisemitic conspiracy thinking and anti-Jewish images occupy a prominent place" in the AfD.

Just interested. Who pays you?

Almost all your allegations have been debunct already.

Did you miss the agency's (Bundesverfassungsschutz) admission that they run hundreds of fake social media accounts. Never heard the term agent provocateur?

The Afd has an explicit Jewish section in their party, several Jewish members are candidates for various jurisdictions. Could go on for hours. But first of all I wonder what this kind of disinformation has any meaning in such a substack?

The AfD fits the pro-authoritarian billionaire boys club Musk/Trump represent.

CAP 30 Oct, 2024

The threat to European unity

The AfD’s vision for Germany does not just threaten NATO—it also poses a direct challenge to the future of the European Union. The party has long advocated for “Dexit,” a “Deutschland exit” from the EU, modeled on Britain’s Brexit. While the AfD has softened its language in recent years, no longer explicitly calling for a withdrawal, it continues to characterize the EU as an undemocratic institution that encroaches on German sovereignty. For example, the AfD continues to advocate for the abolition of the euro, a radical and far-fetched policy that would reintroduce national currencies. Its 2024 manifesto calls for dismantling the eurozone entirely, claiming that “only through national currencies can each state regain sovereignty.” While the AfD’s push for abolishing the euro remains highly improbable, it nonetheless constitutes a central pillar of the party’s platform, having been one of the core issues upon which the AfD was founded in 2013.

Beyond economic disruption, the AfD’s hostility toward the EU threatens to undermine Europe’s collective ability to address global challenges. The EU has played a central role in responding to authoritarian aggression, whether through coordinating sanctions on Russia or more recently through efforts to curb Chinese influence in critical supply chains. The AfD would likely push to abandon these efforts in favor of a more transactional approach. Without a strong and capable Germany at the heart of Europe, American interests will undoubtedly suffer, particularly in coordinating efforts to confront Putin’s war of aggression against Ukraine, but also on challenges ranging from AI governance to climate change. Unlike leaving the eurozone, an emboldened AfD parliamentary faction could easily obstruct EU decision-making on enlargement, including Ukrainian accession to the EU; weaken Germany’s commitment to Euro-Atlantic collective defense; and hinder the bloc’s ability to act decisively on a green industrial policy.

Conclusion

The AfD is on the rise, and its foreign and security policy offers a troubling preview of what could come to pass should far-right policies gain more popularity at home or abroad. Should the current German coalition collapse—Berlin may very well be the next domino to fall in a growing wave of nationalist and far-right movements gaining traction across Europe. Yet the more significant takeaway is that the AfD already has avenues to push its agenda. By exerting pressure on a fragile governing coalition and paralyzing the center, preventing it from leading effectively, it may succeed in reshaping German—and by extension, European—politics.

By advocating for the withdrawal of U.S. troops, questioning NATO’s Article 5, and aligning itself with authoritarian powers such as Russia and China, the AfD poses a real and present threat to the trans-Atlantic security community. The stakes for trans-Atlantic security and cooperation could not be higher––on both sides of the Atlantic.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AfD is a quisling anti-American, anti-European pro-Russian hate group.

I have no doubt (none) that Musk is a fascist. A nazi? Quit likely but I’m not positive. Musk and trump together could be very dangerous. Can they both co-exist in the same room for more than a few days? We will find out. Both want to control the world. A partnership in this endeavor is not a possibility. Only one can be “the” ruler. Look up Musks biography, not his fake BS. He is nuts.
