I have only watched one three hour video in my life. This one is worth it. How to make healthy bread from whole grain, which you grind to preserve nutrition.
Have you seen Piers Morgan's interview with Jordan Peterson's daughter Mikhaila; says she has only eaten steak meat for 6 years, pretty much nothing else. Appears healthy. Interesting eh?
Important point: your body "sees" sugar when you eat *any* refined carbohydrate. The rise in glucose from the ingestion of refined grains is virtually indistinguishable from that of sucrose & fructose.
Here's a rule of thumb: If it didn't exist in the 19th century, don't eat it. This includes sugar, Crisco (and all so-called "vegetable oils"), and all heavily refined grains. Bread used to be far better tolerated prior to modern over-processing removed the healthier elements of grain. This, along with hydrogenated seed oils, was necessary to increase shelf-life of heavily processed convenience foods.
Another rule of thumb: Eat like an Amish person. Not the backslidden kind, but the old-order folks. Fred and Alice Ottoboni penned the book "The Modern Nutritional Diseases" in 2013, a book that brilliantly outlined the connections from our modern diet to our modern diseases.
Yes, keto is the way. Time restriction is also important. Giving your body time to clear out misfolded proteins and other junk is critical, and your eating window needs to fit within your natural circadian rhythm. Your body's "street sweepers" go to work while you sleep, but only if hours have passed since your last meal. Go to sleep full and they take the night off. Again, think 19th century. You could not jump on your horse and ride to the local convenience store or request a door-dash. Now, anything you want is available anytime you want. Fast-food restaurants advertise "midnight munchies".

Amen. We can further stop the proliferation by ending farm subsidies that result in the over-production of GMO grains raised on a diet of pesticides. Federal spending policies, driven largely by grift, are fanning the flames of the epidemic via farm subsidies. The same proponents of farm subsidies also lobby to mislead us via the evil guidance of yet another bureaucracy, and another, and another. Regulatory capture insures that the status quo grows worse as the years pass.
In other words healthy foods are healthful. But thats the key, the more whole, least processed the better.
