Q2 Earnings: Copper and Gold Are a Great Combination

Obviously, gold has become a great thing for a miner to specialize in. But lately, copper has been even profitable.
In this year’s second quarter (which ended June 30), copper’s price was close enough to its all-time high to make a well-run miner quite profitable. Then came July, when copper rose to about 20% above its Q2 average. A good business just became even better.
Now picture a miner that’s big in gold and huge in copper. That would be a cash flow machine in today’s world. And we have one in our Portfolio.
