Recently, a couple of highly-regarded silver miners ran into trouble:

First Majestic Silver (AG), which specializes in buying and upgrading existing mines, admitted that its Jerritt Canyon mine in Nevada (the source of 21% of its revenues, acquired in 2021), wasn’t working out and would be temporarily closed while management tried to make it profitable.
