Having "good people" in office, e.g., President Trump rather than The Cackler, will not stop the Crisis (SHTF Day/Fourth Turning/Long Emergency) - but may make it possible both to survive it and save at least some remnants of Western Civilization (the only modern civilization that has ever done anything positive for humanity in general).
