December produced a lot of surprises.
President Biden pardoned his son…for an oddly specific period of time:
United Health, a previously obscure insurance company, became a hot topic:
Frustration about American health care produced a French Revolution-style path to popularity:
Luigi Mangione To Host Next Week's Episode Of 'SNL'
(Babylon Bee) - In a move intended to capitalize on his popularity with the show's audience, NBC announced that UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione would host next week's episode of Saturday Night Live.
The show, which was originally scheduled to air a rerun this weekend due to the Christmas holiday, switched gears and swung a deal to secure Mangione as host after learning how beloved the accused murderer was by viewers.
"We know what our audience wants," said SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels. "Once we heard the tremendous ovation Luigi received when he was mentioned on last week's show, we knew we had to bring him in to host. Viewers love seeing their heroes featured in prominent roles, and nothing is more prominent than hosting Saturday Night Live. We just hope he likes the jokes we write for him, because… well, you know."
A debate erupted over whether, two years post-pandemic, federal government employees should still work from home:
The US elects a real estate developer, and (surprise!) he starts shopping for new properties:
And — not surprising at all — disdain for the Aristocracy, its legacy media, and captive scientists continued to expand:
Let’s end with an important lesson for the Aristocracy: Video is forever:
My wife and I caught Covid/Flu, or whatever it was, on a flight from SFO to Kansas City in February of 2020. On the plane, we sat next to a Chinese woman who looked like death warmed over. She never spoke or moved the whole flight to KC.
Ten days later, we became pretty sick for three days. Then, we had natural immunity. I told this to people at the hospital, stores, etc. No one accepted my natural immunity. It was like 2,000 years of medical knowledge just disappeared.
United Healthcare screwed over my parents. The dead CEO and his family get no sympathy from me.
Good memes about Covid. I'm still angry about the Covid Con Panic and the masks, lockdowns, travel restrictions, social distancing, and those damn Plexiglas barriers. The injections really pissed me off. The only vaxxed person I talk to is my mother.
